Keynote files
Keynote is Apple's presentation app, available free on macOS and iOS. Keynote files are ZIP packages containing the slide data alongside any embedded assets.
What File Juicer can extract from Keynote files
File Juicer can extract images and video embedded in a Keynote presentation. Drop the .keynote file onto File Juicer and it will save all the images and video clips it finds. This is useful for recovering assets from a presentation without opening Keynote.
Text in Keynote files
The text in modern Keynote files is stored in a binary format and cannot be read directly from the extracted files. To get the text out, open the presentation in Keynote and export it as PPTX, PDF or plain text via File > Export To.
Keynote and PowerPoint
Keynote can open and export Microsoft PowerPoint PPTX files. If you need to extract images from a PowerPoint file, File Juicer handles those directly too. See the Microsoft Office page for details.
